This tri-state Appalachian driving event weaved thru pastures, peaks, and plenty of curves. This year, you’ll embark on a expedition that spans the stunning landscape of Kentucky’s green pastures, to the astounding fall colors of North Carolina’s foliage, and ultimately through the Tennessee landscape that makes you hear music. Along the journey you’ll be immersed in local culture through gourmet cuisine, artistic exhibitions and unique excursions, all while enjoying the comforts of the finest accommodations in Appalachia.

 

Setting the Mood

Inspiration came in a variety of forms including the fall season, the Lamborghini brand, and the diversity of this exclusive experience. The palette, the textures, and layering of these elements became the foundation for the final deliverables.

 

Branding

The logo for this event was strongly influenced by one of the more infamous segments of the Appalachian journey: The Tail of the Dragon. Cutting through the mountains in Deals Gap at the Tennessee/North Carolina state line, this curvy portion of US 129 is also known to some North Carolinians as, “that damn road to Tennessee”. Beyond the drive, there was a premium brand and a 5-star, tri-state fall experience that inspired the colors and textures of this unique Giro America.

Deliverables

This event was anything but short on deliverables (see below) and customization, including a new Mohawk paper line, branding, materials, gifts and printing processes.

 

The Route Book

Copy to come. Include info on Mohawk paper, printing metallic on colored cover stock, custom leather stamp (fabricated locally), and single page clips with a flip book movie at the end.
